Decorative painting is a diverse art form utilizing a variety of techniques
and media to decorate a wide variety of surfaces. Decorative painting
is a teachable art form because we use easily learned methods and
techniques. The use of patterns allows the beginning artist to be
successful without the ability to draw.
Decorative painting offers opportunities for artistic creative expression.
Tole painting is the general term historically used to describe decorative
painting on tin surfaces. Today we use the term "Tole" to describe
decorative painting on all surfaces.
