February 3, 2007 Paint In
"Flower Pot with Dogwood Flowers"

Date:        Saturday, February 3, 2007
Time:        10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Location:     Beltsville Library - Beltsville, MD
Taught by:   Ann Davis
Bring a bag lunch
Surface:     10” Terra Cotta Flower pot
I used a 10” flower pot.  If you want to do a smaller one that is fine, I will
bring several sizes of patterns.

Surface Prep:

Prior to class you will need to prepare your flower pot.  If the flower pot is
rough it can be sanded lightly with any sanding disk.  Base the flower pot
inside and out with Grey Sky.  This may take 2 coats.  Be sure to do the
bottom and the little hole in the bottom.  You want to completely seal the pot
with the paint.

Supplies:

Brushes:  Flat or Angle for Floating, brush for drybrushing (I like the Debbie
Mitchell Stippler) but whatever you like for drybrushing.  Good liner, scruffy
brush.  Your regular painting supplies.

Americana paints:
If you are missing a color for the class don’t go purchase it. I will have some
paint to share.  However, I do ask that you bring the colors you have as that
will cut down the cost of the class:

Light Buttermilk        Bubblegum Pink or Baby Pink
Celery Green                        Avocado
Cranberry Wine                Dark Chocolate
White                                Black
Russet                                Grey Sky
Hauser Dark Green                Evergreen

I’m looking forward to seeing you in class!  Please call me if you have any
questions.
