Project: Autumn Berries on Etched Glass
Teacher: Kathy Bacskay
Surface: Bring your own smooth glass vase,
either circle, oval or square with
straight sides. You may also use
a drinking glass. No Crystal. Etching
cream will not work on crystal
Supplies: Regular Acrylic Painting Supplies,
Plastic Palette Knife (some will be
available to share.)
Rubber Gloves
Various widths of masking tapes (1, 3/4, 1/2 and 1/4 inch
with good adhesive (frog or blue tape)
Chalk Pencil, Glass Marking Pencil (optional)
Protective Goggles to protect eye glasses.
Supply Fee: $ 4.00 (payable to teacher)
Fee covers paint and etching
Cream.
Prep: Wash the surface by hand or dishwasher and dry. Try not
to get your fingerprints on the surface. Wrap in paper towel
or paper towels to transport.
Lunch: Bag Lunch (drinks will be provided)

Directions to Beltsville: From 495 Beltway, take Exit 25 (Rt. #1 North)
go approximately 0.75 miles. Turn left onto Montgomery Road. Go four
blocks to Sellman Road. Turn Right - library is on the right.
